This allows me to refocus on what gives me energy. I used to be a teacher and enjoyed sports. Now I am taking the time to do sports again.

What I like most about myself? That's a difficult question, I find. I don't easily say anything positive about myself, nor do I enjoy being in the spotlight. So this photo shoot was a major step outside my comfort zone. But I was up for the challenge.

Perhaps my eyes are the most beautiful. For me, the eyes are the window to the soul. Deep down, I'm a sensitive person, I am always ready to help others where I can."

"I went through a difficult period. In September 2025, my social worker put me in touch with Binnenste Buiten, where I followed a personal program with counselling to become more independent.

Binnenste Buiten is an important anchor for me in difficult times, even today. The conversations offer me emotional support. Gradually, my confidence is also growing again: in society and in myself.

Thanks to the counselling, I feel less alone. They listen and accept me for who I am, which really helps with my recovery. I now take better care of myself and keep rediscovering who I am."
