"In my free time, I seek the silence of nature. Together with my husband, I go backpacking through rugged landscapes such as Lapland and Iceland. It gives me a profound sense of calm and brings me closer to the essence.

I take care of myself by exercising: walking, strength training and yoga. This is how I stay physically and mentally balanced. I eat vegetarian and enjoy using the sauna. I continuously look for harmony, connection and authenticity. That's what I like best about myself: stating the obvious, but always with gentleness and respect.

The photo shoot felt awkward. But it was also a warm experience to step out of my comfort zone. It felt like I was part of the bigger story of Binnenste Buiten."

"I founded Binnenste Buiten and laid the foundation of this amazing operation. Currently, I am Head of Department of Welfare Opportunities at the City of Antwerp. Along with five teams, we are committed to creating more opportunities for vulnerable Antwerp residents.

Binnenste Buiten is close to my heart. Here, the focus is on the human side of activation. "We break patterns, build people's confidence and give them new perspectives. It always touches me to see how people grow here and find their strength again.

My fondest memories are the many small and major moments of happiness our customers experience. I also think back to the visit of Princess Mathilde, the support of our godmother Gerdi Esch and the collaboration with designer Marina Yee."
