"Twenty years ago, I took a course at Binnenste Buiten. I was one of their first customers. The classes and the tutors have always stayed with me. I immediately felt warmth and commitment there and always loved going.
I really valued connecting with other participants. The topics were interesting and I learnt a lot.
Today I go to the academy, where I learnt to draw. I am also a volunteer at Huis van het Kind, where I take care of the little ones during mums groups. That way the mums can attend the course without being distracted. I also enjoy hanging out with my lovely daughter."

"When I'm home alone too often, I start fretting. I try to avoid that. That's why I make sure I have plenty of social contacts and often go outside.
In terms of how I look, I like my long hair and my big smile. My smile says a lot about me. I always try to see the good in people. Everyone deserves a fair chance.
I am proud that I was asked for the photo shoot. It was a bit out of my comfort zone, but a special experience for that very reason."
