One of the many eye-catching activities MoMu is celebrating with its ambitious reopening programme is a city dressing project in collaboration with the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. The ‘Fashion Balls’ are striking installations that will appear at various locations in Antwerp from 5 August 2021 onwards and together will create a unique walking experience through the city.

A/Part

November 2 - November 20, 2021

This autumn the launch of A/part in collaboration with Flanders DC will set the spotlights on the retail and fashion industry in Antwerp: 20 unique products will be temporarily available in 20 shops in Antwerp. They will be the result of 20 unique collaborations between established and upcoming talents in fashion, art, music, film ànd retail.
According to curator and multi-talent Baloji, A/part has nothing less than once-in-a-lifetime collabs and surprisingly original products in store.

The programme will also inspire Antwerp residents and international visitors alike, during the colloquium colloquium ‘Responsible Fashion Series’ initiated by Antwerp Management School and London College of Fashion and the 5th edition of the Fashion Talks in November.

‘E/MOTION – Fashion in Transition’ explores the way in which fashion is an expression of emotion, fear and desire in society: fashion is both ‘emotional’ and ‘in motion’. With this exhibition, MoMu is looking back on the events of the past three decades and asking questions about how fashion can reinvent itself as an industry, as well as the role that fashion designers can play in this in the future.
