Walking route
This route takes you on a simply magical tour of Antwerp. Start from Het Steen and wind your way through the old town all the way over to Groen Kwartier. The route takes you past some Antwerp beauty spots, including Hendrik Conscienceplein and St Charles Borromeo’s Church as well as the 16th-century Handelsbeurs or Stock Exchange. From there you walk to the botanic garden and onwards to the old military barracks, where PAKT, an initiative of creative entrepreneurs, is located. Your final destination is Dageraadplaats, where hundreds of LEDs light up the sky at night.
There are plenty of fun activities to try out as you go along, including sharing a high tea, drinking a 'bolleke’ at the De Koninck City Brewery, visit the Sunday market, which is called Vogelenmarkt in Theaterplein or enjoy a play at the Bourla Theatre.
Looking to do some shopping in Antwerp? Great idea! All the major brands can be found in Meir and in the Stadsfeestzaal shopping centre. More exclusive shops spread across town have plenty of covetable items to choose from.

Deze route neemt je mee op een betoverende tocht door Antwerpen. Van Het Steen wandel je door het historisch centrum tot helemaal aan het Groen Kwartier. De route laat je de mooiste plekjes zien, zoals het Hendrik Conscienceplein met de Sint-Carolus Borromeuskerk en de 16e-eeuwse Handelsbeurs. Via de botanische tuin loop je helemaal tot aan de oude militaire kazerne met in het hart van de buurt PAKT, een initiatief van creatieve ondernemers. De eindbestemming ligt op de Dageraadplaats, met honderden lichtjes die 's nachts aan de hemel schijnen.
Onderweg kun je samen de leukste activiteiten ondernemen, zoals een high tea delen, een 'bolleke' nemen bij Stadsbrouwerij De Koninck, de Vogelenmarkt aan het Theaterplein bezoeken of een theaterstuk meepikken in de Bourlaschouwburg.
Heb je zin om te shoppen? Ook dat kan! Op de Meir en in de Stadsfeestzaal volop de bekende, grote winkels. Maar je komt ook langs meer exclusieve shops.
